HALLOWEEN

Hallowen Night witches or witch Day it is a celebration of Celtic origin which is held on the evening of October 31.. particularly in English countries like Canada, USA, Irealnd and the UK and to a lesser extent the world, including Latin America and Spain. Despite being English-speaking countries, in Australia and New Zealand it is not seen as much as in toher countries.

It's roots are linked to the Celtic celebration of Samhain and the Christian holiday of All Saints' Day, celebrated by Catholics on November 1th. It is largely a secular celebration, but some believe that it has a religious background. Irish immigrants passsed versions of the tradition to North America during the Great Irish Famine.

The day is often associated with orange, black and purple colors, and is strongly associated with symbols like the jack- o' -lantern. Typical activities include the famous Halloween trick or treatating and costume parties, plus bonfires, visitng haunted house, pranks, reading scary stories and viewing of horror flims.
